Yes, there is just one baby in there

21 Weeks along
Fully embracing the stretchy top maternity pants
and side ruching shirts
Turns out my belly button popping out so early was due to
an umbilical hernia. Awesome.

Yes, there is just one baby in there. Yes, I'm sure. Thank you for asking.
It's a boy
Can we just agree here and now never to ask someone if they are having twins?
Or say thinks like, "You look huge!" It's not appreciated.
I already feel huge but hearing it aloud will probably make me want to punch you :)

Woah baby!

16 Weeks
Apparently it's true what they say: your body "remembers"
My stomach muscles are no match for a growing baby and my bump is growing out quite early. Yes, even my belly button is popped out! Let's just hope this rate of growth doesn't continue the whole pregnancy or I'm going to look like I'm smuggling a very large watermelon under my shirt by October!

Ps: No it isn't twins

Lately

Lately I've been a little busy growing a little baby and having very bad morning (all day) sickness. But I'm already showing baby bump, so here it is. It looks even bigger when I'm slouching, but I tried to stand up straight for the picture :)

Emerging from the fog

Top: Old Navy  Jeans: Anthopologie  Sandals: Target

I've spent the past week in a haze of sorts. I had a nasty cold, and let me tell you what- not being able to breathe out of your nose is one of my least favorite things ever. Well, hacking up a lung wasn't so great either. I'm not quite myself yet, but on the mend. Oddly enough I got sick of lounging in my pj's and was dying to get dressed and looking myself again (greasy hair doesn't suit me). Here's to more hand washing and trying to avoid getting sick again in the near future!

Happy New Year!

Shirt: Target  Skirt: Express  Necklace: Kohl's  Earrings: F21

Happy New Year!! The holidays have come and gone in a whirlwind. And I loved it all. The food, the family, the parties, the traditions! And I'm so excited for the new year. New opportunities, new hopes and dreams, and new memories to be made. Let us focus more on what we can do for others than what they can do for us.

Boots everyday!

Top thrifted  Cardi Target  Jeans Rugged Wearhouse  Boots Target

This photo is actually from October but I forgot about it. While I still haven't been very motivated to take pictures, every once in a while I planned to but couldn't find my tripod. Last week I found it. Under the crib. My 5 year old son is a budding photographer and must have left it there after playing with it one day.

I love the holidays! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I sure did!

Shopping my closet

I’ve found that my interests go in spurts. I’ll really feel  like sewing one day and take on a project or two. But by the time I finish (or sometimes before I finish) I find my enjoyment fading. Same thing happens with reading. I love reading sometimes, but not others. For a while I just loved this blog. I loved getting ready in the morning and picking out an outfit. I loved taking and editing the photos. I loved the nice comments ;) And loved reading other’s fashion blogs to gain inspiration. My fashion has evolved quite a bit since I began. But then it faded away. Lately I don’t enjoy getting dressed in the morning. I stare at my bulging closet and find no love for the things hanging there. I still read other’s blogs and find pretty things I like, but don’t have. So really all it does it make me want to shop more. But Dave Ramsey runs a tight budget over here and I don’t have endless funds to shop. And then I found a nice comment from some random stranger about one of my past outfits. I looked back at that photo and a few others from months ago. And I liked it. Not all the outfits I’ve posted I like when I look back, but some I do. So, I decided I’d look back at all my outfits since I started this blog in February and pull a list of the outfits I liked best and would want to wear again. I found 44. Somehow I think this blog has served a whole new purpose for me. It has cataloged the past several months and now I can look back and edit for the future. It’s thrilling to find a cute outfit that you want to copy from someone else’s blog. But it’s also sorta cool to find inspiration from yourself! And a whole lot cheaper too. I think it might be a little easier to get dressed this week. And I might even not feel like shopping for a little while!
