I went thrifting at Goodwill with Heidi this morning!! It was fabulous! And so much fun. The only thing that would have made it even better was if I didn't have to bring my 2 kiddos! But, really they were pretty good so I won't complain (today).
Seriously though, that woman has a good eye for clothes!
Shirt: Old Navy
Cardigan: Gap
Trouser Jeans: Target
Flats: Target
So here is a quick view of what I got. I would have modeled them each for ya but...
a. don't have the time and
b. most need a little work! But that's ok, I'm excited!
I just *LOVED* this silk skirt. But, it is a size 16. Just a smidge too big for me :) So I have plans of taking it in. Never done that before but we'll give it a try! The main thing I'm worried about is the invisible zipper. Right now it's on the side but I'm thinking I'll have to move it to the back since I'll want to take in so much. We shall see!
This skirt is the only one that is wearable right now. It has the sweetest ironed-in pleats!
This dress is also huge on me! But, the fabric i just love! I have plans to make it into a skirt.
This little number isn't very modest! But I think it might make a cute pencil skirt?!
This dress is actually modest. The neckline is so high I think I might go all the way back to the 50's. But it just has a few little holes I need to stitch up and it'll be lovely!
And lastly, I gabbed all these belts! I only own like 2 belts so I know I've got a lot of catching up to do! And at Goodwill these were only $1. Not kidding. And the brown one...Coach. Yep. Good day at the thrift store!
Thanks Heidi! Can't wait until we go again!!
That's SO cool! It inspires me to go thrifting. Right now the closest thing I do to that is Ross - but sometimes it's like thrifting because you have to sift through a lot of different clothes.
ReplyDeleteGood job woman!
Cute cute cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat Goodwill Finds! I blog for G-Dub so it is great to see who is out there shopping!! I would have never bought something that needs to be re-worked, but now I might have to!
ReplyDeleteGreat work! If the alterations on the first skirt don't work out...It would make a great throw pillow!
