So, here is the tag for this blouse. Notice the oversized label. The funny thing is that when I first found it, I saw the XL size and almost put it back. But, I loved the color so I thought I'd at least try it on. It is big but, belted it looks like it's supposed to be that big. In the end I couldn't pass it up on 50% off day at Goodwill! Then when I got home, I realized that I had another blouse that is the same brand. My polka-dot blouse HERE is also Anna and Frank. That blouse says M on the tag. But when I compared them, they are the EXACT same size. Weird. Just another lesson in thrifting-don't believe the size tag!

I took some pictures of a few other tops that are vintage but when I uploaded them, blogger flipped them sideways. UG! I hate it when it does that. Anyone know how to fix that? Thanks!

Sigh...

I recorded the Royal Wedding and watched it first thing when I woke up this morning. Sigh. It was perfect! I loved her dress. The lace was so elegant (I had lace on my wedding dress too!). I'm just sad it is over. My favorite part though would have to be seeing them both with wet eyes on the ride back to Buckingham Palace. So sweet!

 Trying something new with my hair today. It doesn't look as good as hers, but I do like it!

Ha! I do have a bum ;) I sorta have a boyish figure. No curvy hips, flat chest, and flat bum. But, I love a good pair of pants that make me look like a have a behind! TMI? Sorry about that...

I love finding vintage clothes at Goodwill. Especially on 50% off day! This blouse only set me back 2.12

The details on the front are so me. And it is light and comfy for the southern heat and humidity that is starting up here in South Carolina!

 

"Vintage" is a tricky term. It doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. But, one of my favorite articles of reference is THIS post about labels.

One easy thing I always look for when glancing through racks and rack of clothes is the longer/larger sleeve length of a blouse or dress. Tomorrow I'll take some pictures of my recent vintage finds and their labels so you can see some more examples. Over time it definitely gets easier to recognize older styles! Now, go find some at your local thrift store! You never know what you'll find  :)

Candy Overload

I've just about overdone it on Easter candy. The jelly beans and mini Cadbury eggs are yummy, addicting, and I am going to made myself sick if I don't slow it down! But they are almost gone so now I just have to restrain myself from checking out the Easter candy clearance at all the stores and buying any more!

Easter Fancy

 Our trip to Atlanta was short and wonderful. And I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to stake out a different Goodwill while we were there :) I found this flowy little number and it seemed to be the perfect fancy Easter skirt!

Thrifted Re-Fashion

I found this bright blue silk gem at Goodwill recently. It is as soft as butter :)  But, a little bit long for my taste. So, I brought the hem up to the knee. Simple yet satisfying re-fashion! (I thought about altering the sleeves but decided against it. I'll just roll them up if it's too hot for long sleeves!)

 The longer my hair gets, the higher the bun can go! Speaking of hair. I tried some dry shampoo that everyone is raving about these days. Didn't do a darn thing. My hair still looks flat and greasy. Maybe I'm using the wrong brand? I got Oscar Blandi Volumizing dry shampoo spray. Have you tried some and liked it? If so, what kind?? I wouldn't advise buying this kind!

 I just love it when I find something great at the thrift store! Vintage dresses are one of my favorite things right now. Styles were modest and the colors were bold! Never knew how much I could love a little yellow dress. AND it has pockets. You know how much I love pockets ;)

 

It has this awesome button detail in the back of the skirt. At first I wondered if it was on backwards! But, now I sort of love the uniqueness!

And even though it's gray and rainy outside. I feel pretty warm and sunny in here!
