Even though I'm suffering with all the pollen this time of year, the sunny, warm weather is very enjoyable. And I'm loving how comfy the maxi dress is. I just want to wear it every day. And buy one in every color. I'll try to retrain myself though! I've been inspired by many other fashion bloggers sporting the maxi dress. The always lovely Kayla here and here. And I love this look over on Modest Fashion Sense. I could go on but you get the idea.
I had a hard time deciding which top to wear. I love stripes. But I also am loving color blocking! Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.
Top: H&M (folded under since it's about 6 inches longer)
Maxi Dress: Down East
Earrings: Forever 21
Belt: Thrifted
Sandals (which you can't see): Target
I love love love the ways you styled this maxi dress! Super cute looks!

It looks cute on you, but I'll be honest... I'm not sure I dig the tops over the maxi dress thing. I checked out those other blogs and maybe i just have to get used to it or something.
ReplyDeleteI like them with cardigans though :)
ReplyDeleteespecially love the 2nd version! very lovely grecian.
ReplyDeleteYOu look so cute in that second look...it is fabulous on you! You rocked it! =)

ReplyDeleteLove the styling both ways, but my favorite is def. the second look! You defined your tiny little waist perfectly and I love the volume of the sleeves!

I love the navy top you found at Ross...wish I could find some in other colors. I understand the pollen issue...oak has been killing me since spring began in Texas! I hope you feel better...both looks are cute!
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful and I like both ways you styled your maxi. The first is cute and casual while the second is more chic.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre
I almost styled my maxi dress with a billowy shirt over it, but went a different route. Maybe I should have used the shirt--that second look is especially wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBoth looks are great! The second seems dressier - and I love the dolman sleeves. Stripes are cute too. Folding a long top under is a really good idea. I'll try that sometime.
ReplyDeleteGreat look, I like it with the navy top!

Cute! I especially like the one with the navy top.
ReplyDeleteOooh. Both of these are great - I'm torn which I like better, but I'm going to go with the 2nd one. Something about the color and draping of the top just looks so great.
ReplyDeleteHope your allergies have subsided.
